My stay at Hotel Everest was a mixed bag. The room was cleaner than expected, but the service was quite slow. The complimentary breakfast was simple, though it took ages to arrive and they got my order wrong every day. The hotel's location was decent for exploring Colaba, but the trek down the alley can be off-putting for some.

Rooms
7.0
I stayed in super deluxe room 401, which had a loud AC but was clean and equipped with the essentials like a TV and a double bed. The shower was basic but provided hot water.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly but not very efficient. They had no maps, consistently mixed up breakfast orders, and overall took their time with everything.
Location
7.0
The hotel is in the Colaba district, about a 15-minute walk from popular attractions like the Gateway of India and the Taj Hotel. The nearby vegetarian restaurant was a nice find.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was complimentary but quite basic, limited to toasted bread and a small cup of tea or coffee. It often took around 45 minutes to arrive, which was frustrating.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offers basic facilities like free Wi-Fi and air conditioning, but the connection was painfully slow.

My stay at Hotel Everest was definitely a mixed bag. The location was tough to find, and the room left a lot to be desired—cramped, dirty, and not exactly cozy. However, I had a few nice interactions with the staff, even if they weren’t exactly great in service. Overall, I should’ve spent a bit more for a better experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room was cramped with worn-out, manky sheets and cigarette-stained walls. The bathroom was more like a broom cupboard, making it uncomfortable to use the shared facilities.
Service
5.0
The staff were civil, but the check-in was awkward due to the hotel's layout, and I felt pressured to tip for minimal help.
Location
5.0
Finding the hotel was a real hassle; no taxi drivers knew where it was, leading to a lot of wasted time circling around.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was disappointing; it was pretty bad and did not meet expectations.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had limited facilities, and honestly, I didn’t notice anything that stood out positively.

My stay at Hotel Everest was quite disappointing. While the location offers fair value for money for a budget hotel, I dealt with serious issues regarding cleanliness and service. The staff was somewhat helpful, but the room condition and overall experience left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
My room was dusty, and the bed felt uncomfortable. The lack of hot water and a functional TV made my stay less enjoyable.
Service
5.0
The staff's service was hit-or-miss; while some were helpful, I faced strange situations like waiters entering my room without permission for cigarettes.
Location
5.0
The hotel is in a residential area at the far end of Colaba's main heart, which can be hard to find but offers a quieter atmosphere.
Dining
5.0
I had issues with food delivery costs, but the opportunity to enjoy home-made bread was a nice touch.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were limited; I faced persistent water problems and issues with the lift, which felt quite creepy at times.
